This product changed the way we think about bourbon, thanks to one man's vision of bourbon-making. Bill Samuels Sr. simply wanted a whiskey he could enjoy. Never bitter or sharp, Maker's Mark is made with soft red winter wheat instead of the usual rye, resulting in a unique, rich bourbon. To ensure consistency, we hand-rotate every barrel, aging our bourbon for taste, not time. Every bottle of Maker's Mark is still hand-dipped in the iconic red wax at our Loretto, Kentucky, distillery, just as Bill Sr. envisioned.
