Nomad is the only Outland Whisky® to originate in Ireland and mature in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. Beginning its journey in Ireland, the birthplace of whisky, Nomad defies convention by maturing in sherry casks from the historic González Byass Bodega in Jerez de la Frontera. The whisky is distilled at The Great Northern Distillery in Dundalk, Ireland, and matured in sherry casks that previously held Oloroso Alfonso. After maturing in Ireland for three years in ex-bourbon casks, it is transferred to Jerez for an additional year of maturation in select casks from González Byass' signature Oloroso Alfonso sherry casks.
