Each spring and fall, a new edition of the Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond decanter series is released. Inspired by the original Old Fitzgerald Diamond Decanter from the 1950s, the packaging and series honor both the history of the Old Fitzgerald brand and the historic Bottled-in-Bond name. The Old Fitzgerald line was first trademarked in 1884 and is renowned for its exceptional distilling pedigree, even being sold to "Pappy" Van Winkle during Prohibition. In 1999, Heaven Hill acquired the brand and began distilling it at its Bernheim Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. Today, in addition to the Old Fitzgerald decanter series, the Old Fitzgerald legacy continues in other whittled bourbons, including Larceny Small Batch and Larceny Barrel Proof.
