Pikesville Rye, first produced in Maryland in the 1890s, was decimated by Prohibition, along with the state's once-thriving rye industry. The brand resurfaced after Prohibition, but with all other producers gone, Pikesville became the last remaining Maryland rye brand. Today, produced in Kentucky, using long-aged barrels stored in prime warehouse locations, the Heaven Hill Distillery continues this historic Maryland rye tradition.
