Master's Keep Voyage is a 106-proof (53%) bourbon aged for 10 years, then re-aged in Jamaican rum casks. It represents Wild Turkey's first-ever rum cask finish. Created in collaboration with Master Distiller Eddie Russell and renowned Appleton Estate Rum Master Blender Dr. Joey Spence, Voyage reflects their combined 80-plus years of experience crafting exceptional spirits. This exceptional Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey draws inspiration from the bounty of the island and showcases the expertise of two masters in their respective fields. The goal of Master's Keep Voyage was to create a unique spirit that embodies the essence of both bourbon and rum making. To achieve this, Dr. Joey Spence hand-selected the finest casks from Jamaica's iconic rum distilleries. These casks, previously containing 14-year-old pot still rum, were chosen to best complement the bold top notes and rich caramel undertones of Wild Turkey aged bourbon. The selected casks were then transported to Wild Turkey Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, where they were filled with Eddie Russell Select 10-Year-Old Bourbon, aged in Wild Turkey’s classic No. 4 Tsar barrels. Finished in a woodshed in the Kentucky heat, the result is a tropical American icon that explodes on the palate with flavors of fruit, caramel, and aged oak, finishing with a warm, lingering finish of chocolate and spice.
