Part of the Virgin Oak Series Batch 3, this rare single malt has been further matured in Scottish Cecil oak (Quercus Petrae) casks sourced from the Atlantic coast. Scottish oak is extremely challenging to handle at every stage of production, from growing and milling to cooperage. Its rarity, high cost, and tendency to develop knots make it rarely used for whisky maturation. Before being filled, the wood is air-dried for 36 months, then toasted and charred. Despite these challenges, this captivating oak imparts a truly unique tasting experience, imbuing the spirit with luxurious notes of white chocolate, refreshing orange, and hints of smooth toffee. Bottled at 48% ABV, with natural color, and non-chill filtered.
