Our Quarter Cask Edition is a complex, rich, and intensely fruity single malt that epitomizes the magic of cask strength whiskies and pairs perfectly with our Sherry Cask Single Malt. The Arran Single Malt used in this cask strength version is first matured in first-fill bourbon barrels before being transferred to smaller quarter casks made from the finest American oak for a second maturation. This process of transferring the whisky to these smaller 125-liter casks significantly increases the whisky's contact with the oak, leading to a faster and more intense maturation process. The result is a full-bodied Arran Single Malt with a powerful yet delicate finish, with rich vanilla sweetness and bold peppery spice. Bottled at natural cask strength, without chill filtration or any artificial colours, this whisky is presented in its purest form. Small casks were a common form of whisky trade in the 18th and 19th centuries, making them easy to transport and handle on and off the island, and this beloved Quarter Cask edition proudly brings that tradition to life today.
