The classic Arran single malt's signature crisp character is enhanced with a hint of peat smoke. Produced by the Lochranza Distillery, this single malt was one of the first peated single malts we created on the island. On the west coast of Arran lies the mystical, windswept peat bog known as Mahri Moor. The barren, rolling landscape is dotted with Bronze Age stone circles and standing stones. One such stone circle is known as Fingal's Cauldron Seat, a hollow stone to which the legendary warrior giant Fingal is said to have bound his beloved dog, Bran. This cask-strength peated Arran single malt perfectly captures the rugged beauty of this landscape and the atmosphere of its legend. Unleash the legend of Mahri Moor in your glass. At 56.2% ABV, bottled without chill filtration or artificial coloring, this Peated Arran Single Malt showcases the island house's signature crispness with hints of smoke and earthiness. Since 2019, all peated whisky production on the island has been carried out by sister distillery Rag, so this is a rare opportunity to sample the original Arran Peated Whisky from Lochranza before it disappears.
