Black Nikka Special is a blended whiskey from the Black Nikka series produced by Nikka Whisky Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. It has been a long-seller since 1965, and is nicknamed "Higeno Whisky" (beard whiskey) or "Bearded Black" due to the label featuring a bearded man. While maintaining the Black Nikka line's concept of an easy-to-drink, everyday blended whiskey, it is characterized by a subtle sweetness of nuts and vanilla, as well as a light peat smoke, and an alcohol content of 42%.
