This is the masterpiece of Shinjiro Torii, Suntory's founder and first Master Blender. The bottle's shape is inspired by the Chinese character "酉" (meaning "wine vessel"), and the stopper is shaped like a torii (a shrine gate). Since its debut in 1960, this whisky has become synonymous with premium Japanese whisky, opening the door to a rich evening.
