The final chapter of the Ardbeg Anthology Collection has finally revealed its smoky face. Inspired by the legend of one of the most feared creatures to roam the Distillery's shores, we present The Bayheer's Tale, a rare and elusive dram. This whisky has been matured for 15 years in exceptional designer Chard Bourbon casks, heavily toasted and lightly charred, after being air-aged. It draws inspiration from the legend of the Bayheer, a fearsome serpentine beast said to have crept into the distillery one day, hiding three precious casks in its belly. The enchanting melody from the chanter lured the beast into the Atlantic, leaving the casks floating on the waves. This bold dram bursts with peat smoke, trickle, coffee grit, citrus, and spice, and the long finish evokes the senses with vanilla and smoked butter that glide across the tongue. The Bayheer's Tale has already won gold medals at the International Spirits Challenge and the International Wine and Spirits Competition.
