The latest release in our Select Cask Series is a whisky with a distinctive fruity and floral character, and our first to be finished in French Calvados casks. Glenmorangie Calvados Cask Finish is the fifth release in the Barrel Select series, a line of small-batch single malts exploring the flavors derived from various cask finishes. Its notes of jasmine, roasted apple, and pear bring a smooth depth to Glenmorangie's signature fruity character. Under the guidance of renowned Whisky Creation Director Dr. Bill Lumsden, the whisky is crafted in towering stills, creating a delicate and fruity spirit, then matured in some of the world's finest casks. Driven by a spirit of experimentation, he transferred the whisky, matured for over a decade in American white oak bourbon casks, to casks that had previously held Calvados for 20 years in the Pays d'Auge in Normandy, France, to ensure Glenmorangie's signature elegance. Smooth and richly complex, Glenmorangie Calvados Cask Finish offers warm fruity flavors of baked apple and pear, complemented by delicate notes of jasmine, narcissus and vanilla.
