To quote the Absolut Boston bottle: "In a city filled with monuments to our nation, towering above all is a dented green wall, 37 feet high and 240 feet long, extending approximately 310 feet from home plate along the left field line." Featuring a green background, the Absolut Boston limited edition was a tribute to the nickname of the "Green Monster" for the left field wall at Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox baseball team. It also added notes of black tea and elderflower, a nod to the historic Boston Tea Party of 1773 – a combination that proved popular with bartenders and vodka fans in Beantown. To celebrate the launch, we erected our own "Wall of Pride" in Boston's Boylston Square. This wall, comprised of 28 green tiles, created and signed by several prominent figures with ties to Boston, was later auctioned to raise funds for charity. Finally, we donated $50,000 to the Charles River Conservancy, a charity dedicated to keeping Boston's drinking water clean and preserving the numerous green spaces surrounding the city.
