What better gift for a nation's 150th birthday? A limited-edition bottle of Absolut felt like the ideal gift. Like Absolut itself, Canada has a rich history of diversity, inclusion, and innovation. So, to help Canada celebrate its 150th anniversary, we collaborated with Canadian textile artist Libs Elliott, who embodies these values, to create a limited-edition collection. An innovator at heart, Libs is known for combining ancient methods with cutting-edge technology to create unique quilts. Each quilt is a unique variation of color, shape, and fabric—a fitting metaphor for Canada. "We exist in different pieces, shapes, and colors, with different beliefs, customs, and values, but somehow we all come together as one," Libs says. Her Absolut Canada bottle design, created using the same process as quilting, incorporates traditional Canadian motifs and colours to reflect the pride we share in this special anniversary. It was the perfect way for Absolut to celebrate Canada's rich heritage and look forward to the future. Happy Birthday Canada! And for 150 years of forward-thinking!
