To celebrate the essence of Rio de Janeiro, Absolut collaborated with pioneering Brazilian designer Oskar Metsavaht to create a bottle that pays homage to the essence and unique character of the city's people, the "cariocas." Inspired by his own photographs of Ipanema Beach, Metsavaht brought these into the world of Absolut, incorporating quintessential Carioca elements such as the sandy beach, the Ipanema pavement pattern, and the Dois Irmãos Mountain (Two Brothers). Absolut Rio's distinctive taste is a harmonious blend of tropical fruits: orange, mango, and passion fruit.
