This special cove was first released in 2019 by the Chartreux Abbey to continue the liqueur maturation process at Boiron, home to the world's longest-serving liqueur maturation cellar. For regulatory reasons, all production had to be transferred to the Aiguinoire distillery in Entre-d'Ouguières. Foudre 147 liqueur is the last liqueur still maturing at Boiron and is sold exclusively in the company's boutique in Boiron.
