Product Info

2025 marks the debut of Bomberger's PFG™ (Precision Fine Grain) Kentucky Straight Bourbon. Precision is at the heart of every step of the Bomberger's PFG™ production process. Bomberger's PFG™ is first matured in new, toasted and charred American oak barrels. After fully maturing, the Kentucky Straight Bourbon is removed from the first barrel and placed in a second, custom-made, proprietary toasted and charred French fine-grain oak barrel, which meets the strictest specifications. These barrels are toasted for a precise amount of time and within a narrowly defined temperature range before undergoing a carefully selected charring process. After maturing in these second barrels, the whiskey is transferred to small batch aging and undergoes our signature filtration process before being bottled at 100.2 proof (50.1% ABV). Bombergus PFG™ Finishing Barrels are a blend of woods from various origins, including the revered forests of Tronçay, Allier, Nevers, and Vosges. These barrels are made from wood naturally dried for a minimum of 40 months outdoors in France near the Charente River, where humidity, microbial growth, climate, wind direction, and altitude create a unique aging environment. After this aging process, the staves are carefully selected by hand to create Bombergus PFG™ Finishing Barrels.
