Created in collaboration with Melody Leung, Director of Zaha Hadid Architects, The Rare is an exceptional 49-year-old single malt. The Rare is the result of a collaboration between Melody Leung of the internationally acclaimed design studio Zaha Hadid Architects and our Master Whisky Maker, Greg Glass. This unique partnership, combining form and flavour, has resulted in three 49-year-old single malt decanters, two of which are encased in breathtaking glass sculptures. Matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks, The Rare is finished with an unparalleled blend of 1963 Port Colheita, 30-year-old Apostoles Sherry, and hand-selected bourbon casks, before being finished in 1951 virgin oak hybrid casks, air-dried and hand-toasted by Greg Glass himself.
