Created in collaboration with Scotland's design museum, the V&A Dundee, The Dalmore's Master Whisky Maker Greg Glass collaborated with Maurizio Muzzola of renowned architecture studio Kengo Kuma Associates to create the whisky. The whisky begins its journey in American white oak and is finished in hand-selected Italian Amarone red wine casks and bespoke Kintsugi casks. A first for Scotch whisky, these innovative casks, a blend of Scottish Tay oak, Japanese Mizunara oak, and American white oak, were created specifically for this limited edition and pay homage to the heritage of each Luminary. Muzzola's beautiful packaging design mirrors the wood and metal grains of the Luminary No. 1 Rare sculpture, highlighting the whisky's striking appearance.
