Product Info

Peerless High Rye Bourbon marks Peerless's first release with a unique, proprietary mash bill. While Peerless's mash bills have remained consistent across both their original and barrel-finished bourbon lines, this new mash bill distinguishes itself from previous bourbons by increasing the rye content. While corn is the primary ingredient in bourbon, much of its flavor comes from other grains. The Kentucky Peerless High Rye mash bill increases the rye content, further enhancing its characteristic sweet and spicy notes. This Peerless High Rye Bourbon presents a savory nose of ripe oak, leather, and citrus, complemented by notes of cedar, dark fruit, and sweet grass, creating a complex aroma. The first sip reveals notes of candied oak, tinged with toasted sugar and orange zest, while a pleasant tea freshness blossoms through sweetness and a full body. Warm leather and rich tobacco notes then add depth to the profile, while a powerful lingering finish where sweetness and earthiness seem to compete with each other decorates the intriguing finish.
