While many whiskies derive their flavors from a single cask, Grant's Triple Wood is aged in three different types of wood. Virgin oak casks impart a spicy, robust character, American oak adds a subtle, smooth vanilla, and bourbon refill casks add a brown sugar sweetness, resulting in a smoother, richer, and more luscious finish. Formerly known as Family Reserve, it's a blend of three distinct types of wood.
