Departing from their usual high-rye bourbon mashbill, they've incorporated Red Turkey Wheat, a heritage varietal from the American Midwest grown for flavor, not yield. This 19th-century classic grain lends this Wheated Bourbon a smooth, sweet profile, and since its initial release in 2021, they've been so pleased with the results that they've now expanded distribution, making this distinctive whiskey accessible to a wider audience. Aged five years, the whiskey opens with aromas of orange marmalade, cotton candy, and warm bread, leading to a citrusy crispness, subtle nuttiness, and a smooth, grain-driven finish.
