New Leaf Distilling's Kentucky Wild Gin is lovingly crafted from locally foraged botanicals, capturing the indigenous flavors of the Ohio Valley and reflecting historic Kentucky gin ingredients. Eleven botanicals, including classic European gin ingredients like angelica, orris, licorice root, and three citrus fruits, are distilled in a pot still. Then, wild juniper berries from local farmers and the surprising American allspice (spicebush), both of which are featured in Slow Food's Arc of Taste, are added. A small amount of New Make Rye spirit is blended into the base spirit, enriching the texture and extending the flavors' finish.
