In 1870, George Garvin Browne sealed his whiskey, Old Forester, in a glass bottle for the first time. To commemorate his birthday, the first bourbon brand to bottle a bourbon annually releases a limited-edition vintage edition, Birthday Bourbon. Released on September 2nd, this is the 23rd limited-edition expression. Hand-selected by Honorary Master Distiller Chris Morris and Master Taster Melissa Lift, these small-batch bourbons offer a unique character and flavor profile that will never be replicated. The 2023 Birthday Bourbon is released at 96 proof (48% ABV). A tasting panel selected 12-year-old barrels for their exceptionally distinctive character. Each batch was exclusively produced on the same day.
