The 1924 10-Year-Old Whiskey from the Whiskey Low series is an annual limited-edition release that commemorates another milestone in Old Forester's storied history. During Prohibition, over 200 distilleries were forced to close, but Old Forester was granted a P-3 license, one of six medical licenses granted by the federal government, allowing it to continue operating. In 1924, Old Forester acquired barrels containing different mash bills from the closed distilleries, bottled them under the Old Forester name, and this release commemorates that historic moment.
