Distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2022, it was briefly aged for six months in first-fill bourbon barrels before being transferred to highly toasted 300-liter American virgin oak casks for the remainder of its maturation. This process creates a sophisticated blend of intense peat notes, toasted nuts, vanilla, and the rich oak flavors characteristic of virgin oak.
