The first limited-edition release in the Barrel Finish series, crafted using 80 barrels previously filled with fresh maple syrup from Wood's Vermont Syrup Co. in Vermont. The maple syrup was first placed in the barrels, then rotated daily for two months to allow the syrup to infuse the wood. The syrup was then drained and filled with Templeton Straight Rye, where it was aged (finished) for an additional two months. The distinctive, intense spice of rye whiskey and the silky sweetness of maple syrup elegantly combine. It features flavors of dark chocolate, rich caramel, and orange zest. Only 24,000 bottles were produced worldwide.
